Job Summary
The Procurement Engineer is responsible for the technical evaluation of the construction materials and equipment, ensuring they meet project requirements. They will work closely with project managers and procurement teams to identify and source suitable materials and equipment.

Job Description
  • Conduct technical evaluations of construction materials and equipment. 
  • Collaborate with project managers to determine material requirements. 
  • Source technically compliant materials and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications. 
  • Participate in supplier evaluations and audits. 
  • Assist in resolving technical procurement issues. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction materials and technology. 
  • Contribute to the optimization of technical procurement process. 
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or related field)
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, but with experience as a purchaser related to construction is an advantage
  • Strong technical knowledge with construction materials, their specifications, and usage in civil, electrical, or mechanical projects
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
