The Safety Engineer is responsible for overseeing the employees' and workers' safety at work and ensuring that the company complies with and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines.
Job Description
Implement the company’s Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures to ensure that safety has been established on-ste.
Orient every personnel on the job site regarding EHS prior to deployment.
Conduct routine EHS inspections on equipment, workplaces, and hazardous materials.
Identify and analyze the degree of risk level at the project site.
Formulate policies on how to prevent and correct measures on identified aspects and hazards.
Conduct investigation of accidents, prepares investigation reports, and submits to the site and Head Office EHS Committee.
Prepare root cause analysis on incidents/accidents, to be included in the accident investigation reports.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide administrative functions on project site supervision on warehousing, security, and securing of government regulatory requirements.
Serve as secretary to the site’s EHS Committee.
Perform other related functions that may be assigned within their capability.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in the field of Engineering, preferably with a professional license as an Engineer.
Must be a Certified Safety Officer accredited by DOLE.
Must have at least 3 years experience as Safety Engineer in the construction industry.
Experienced in formulating policies.
Strong People Management skills and interpersonal abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
