The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement process for construction materials, equipment, and services. They lead a team of professionals, develop procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective and timely procurement operations.
Job Description
Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet project requirements.
Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
Monitor vendor performance and relationships to ensure quality and reliability.
Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to align procurement with project goals.
Resolve procuremtn-related issues and disputes.
Continuously improve procurement processes and practices.
Provide periodic reports to Management.
Perform other related functions that may be assigned within his/her capability.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field
Having a Master's degree is an advantage.
Must have at least five (5) years of procurement experience in constructionindustry
Proficiency in using procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Excellent negotiation and vendore management abilities
Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Strong interpersonal and team leadership abilities.
