Job Summary
The Materials Engineer is responsible for assisting the QA/QC Engineer on the overall quality of materials and construction activities. 
 
Job Description 
  • Work with Management to identify supply needs. 
  • Recommend solutions to existing processes to reduce waste and increase quantity. 
  • Record and assess all materials' quality, movement, and expenditure. 
  • Manage the distribution of supplies in the organization. 
  • Monitor inventory elvels and access to the materials. 
  • Collaborate with Management to plan forecasting models. 
  • Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect the accurate value of inventory.
  • Works with the Procurement Department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment. 
  • Establishes procdures for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, preferably a licensed Engineer
  • Must have at least two (2) years of related work experience as Materials Management, At least 6 months to 1 year Supervisory experience 
  • Effective in task prioritization while taking into account shifting demands and timelines
  • Ability to make informed decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Willing to do field work as needed
