The Materials Engineer is responsible for assisting the QA/QC Engineer on the overall quality of materials and construction activities.
Job Description
Work with Management to identify supply needs.
Recommend solutions to existing processes to reduce waste and increase quantity.
Record and assess all materials' quality, movement, and expenditure.
Manage the distribution of supplies in the organization.
Monitor inventory elvels and access to the materials.
Collaborate with Management to plan forecasting models.
Performs write-offs on damaged or obsolete inventory to reflect the accurate value of inventory.
Works with the Procurement Department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
Establishes procdures for conducting and valuing year-end physical inventory.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, preferably a licensed Engineer
Must have at least two (2) years of related work experience as Materials Management, At least 6 months to 1 year Supervisory experience
Effective in task prioritization while taking into account shifting demands and timelines
Ability to make informed decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
Willing to do field work as needed
